Four reasons you should travel now!
1. The world as we know it is changing. This September alone we saw hurricane Irma decimate the islands of Barbuda and Tortola, as well as the utter and complete destruction Maria did in Puerto Rico and Dominica. The Caribbean is a prime vacation spot for its warm weather and laid back beaches. A few islands this year will have to forego tourism season and instead opt to rebuild what they’ve lost. The point I’m trying to make is, nothing will be around forever, although they will rebuild bigger and better, never take anything for granted. Get out there and see the world.
2. Travel has come a long way since I started my journey some 26 odd years ago. It’s an ever-evolving thing and one of the most impressive of the changes is the ease of access to the world. Travel makes the world a smaller place and once you travel with an open mind, you make the world a better place.
3. Get out of your comfort zone. Once a year travel to someplace you’ve never been. Absorb a culture. Learn a language. I promise these simple changes will lead you to adventures beyond your wildest dream.
4. Nothing is promised. I once met someone who worked their entire life saving to travel one day. Later in life, she was diagnosed with an illness that hindered her from ever leaving the city. Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today!
