I'm not into the habit of promoting anything unless I've used it, love it, or getting paid to do so.
However, this is not the case. CLEAR has helped me so much in travels over the past few years, and now they have increased their offerings outside of the airport.
The CLEAR system uses bio-metrics to expedite check-in at the airport.
There are a few simple steps to get you started:
Signing up and add your personal information.
Head to the airport!
Add your fingerprints at any CLEAR kiosk at the airport and wait for 10 seconds. Voila!
A CLEAR agent will escort you to the front of the TSA line.
There is no need to show an ID, just your boarding pass. Having an ID is recommended just in case.
Having CLEAR can be perfect if your ID does not comply with the Real ID Act. (I am guilty of this! I'm in no rush to change a perfectly good ID)
As mentioned earlier, CLEAR can also be used in other places such as Hertz, Delta Sky Club, and Madison Square Garden. I am certain that there is an extensive list of location that carries the kiosk, but these are all the place I have seen them so far.
I've used it to leave the parking lot of Hertz on my recent trip to Los Angeles.
I've used it to check into the Delta Sky Club while waiting for my flight at the airport.
I've even used it to skip the line at a basketball game and bull ridding show at Madison Square Garden.
