Romania

I've heard many interesting things about Bucharest but to finally be able to visit was amazing. I landed in Romania on Air Serbia from Belgrade. I quickly got into my Uber to get to my hotel. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Old Town Bucharest.
The day started with an extensive walking tour. We visited bars, a speakeasy, candy shops, churches, an opera house, you name it. It was four hours well spent with a local that knew the city inside out. We would go into markets and hidden alleyways I would not have found on my own and I really appreciated the tour. I tend to take walking tours to acclimate myself and then go back in my own time to visit a few places. After the tour, I stopped into cafe chocolat for a hot chocolate. The aim was to head to a traditional Romanian restaurant but I found my hotel first and had dinner there.

The next day was suppose to be simple but with me nothign ever is. The goal was to take a tour from Bucharest to Dracula's Castle with a few stops on the way. As we left the tour guide announced we would be arriving back to the city later than expected and I had a flight that night. I decided to get ahead of my pending issue and lay out my timeline. It turns out I had enough time to see the Peles Castle but couldn't make Dracula's Castle which was the reason I was on the tour. To supplement, I got a personalized adventure on how to get from Brasav to Bucharest.

After the day I had, I treated myself to a steak before heading to the airport. On the way there I stopped at the Romanian Arc de Triumph for a quick picture. The next time I am in Romania I will head straight to Transylvania and finally tick off a bucket list item.
