For anyone familiar with travel to Central and South America, we all love the idea of a free stopover while flying Copa Airlines. This trip was my first time flying Copa (Review to come), and I must say I would do it again.
I arrived in Panama on a calm Saturday afternoon. With no plans, I took an Uber to the hotel. My first order of business was dinner at Fonda Lo Que Hay. I heard from fellow travelers that this was the spot to have your mind blown, and I can say it did not disappoint.
After dinner, I wandered endlessly around the city for a few hours before taking a cab back to my hotel. There was a festival on the same street at the hotel. I decided to attend for the free entertainment before heading to the rooftop bar at the W Hotel.
If it's one thing Panama does well is rooftop bars.
I returned to the hotel to end the night.
The next day I was leaving so, I needed fuel for the busy day. I headed to the lobby to load up on breakfast and headed out. I first visited the Panama Canal, then took a cab to my walking tour with @Xploretourspty. The tour lasted roughly six hours and had great information on Panama. After the tour ended, the guide took us to Mercado De Mariscos for one of the best meals in Panama.
From there, I took a cab to the hotel and then a cab to the airport.
Although short, it was a great introduction to Panama, and I can't wait to return.
