Prizren, Kosovo
After a long night in Albania, we made the two hour trip to Prizren, Kosovo. We left a little after 7:00am, only stoppping for gas and coffee in Orosh. When we arrived at the border crossings, we just passed our passports out of the window and got stamped in and out of each country (Ablania and Kosovo). We parked and began exploring Prizren by foot. Kosovo uses the Euro. This is my tip for you as I showed up with a pocket full of Albania Lek and had to change some for Euro. A lot of the smaller shops also does not take cards, so i'm offering all this as advice to be prepared.

We only had a few hours in Kosovo we had to keep the activity list small and compact. We started at the Sinan Pasha Mosque, worked our way over some of the Old Stone bridge before ending up at the Prizren Fortress. The walking worked up an appetite so I stopped for a cheese byrek. A Byrek is a local dish made with meats or cheese and a wrapped in a soft pastry.

On our way out we stopped for souveniers. Kosovo might have the record for the shorted time I've spent in a country, which says alot since i've been on a few cruises. Noneless, I welcomed the opportunity to have visited and hope to do so again in the future. If for nothing else, the chance for another Byrek.
